JENNIFER'S STORY

Hi! My name is Jennifer Rose and I recently graduated from Lesley University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Specialization in Intercultural Studies in January of 2022. I plan on pursuing a Master’s of Education in Higher Education at Merrimack College starting in Summer 2022. This degree will prepare me to work as a member of the administrative staff at a college or university, assisting students to be successful in their college studies. I love making personal connections with young people and helping them make informed important life decisions.

One of the biggest decisions that young people have to make is to figure out what to do after high school. I can relate to how scary and uncertain these next steps can be. I originally went into college as a hospitality major but then decided that the major and the school that I chose weren’t a good fit for me. After these realizations, I transferred to Lesley University and created my own major, and eventually decided that the field of higher education was right for me. But it was a very bumpy road to come to that conclusion!

I have been in the same place that you are now. I can help guide you in the right direction and choose your next steps after high school.

If you are not sure that college is the right path for you or if you want to go to college or trade school but need assistance with the process of applying and finding the right school for you, I can provide you with a holistic lens to help you make an informed decision. I can also help with major and career exploration, as well as connect you with scholarship opportunities in order to make college more affordable.

This has been a passion project of mine for a long time and I believe that all students should have the opportunity to engage in this comprehensive workshop series. If you believe that cost will be a barrier to accessing this program, we will work with you to get a sponsor to help cover the cost.

If you want to explore and talk about this further, you can contact me at jcrose44@gmail.com and we can set up a time to meet virtually to talk about what you are thinking about doing in the future!
