As an organization we provide direct services to youth and families whose needs are frequently unmet by traditional institutions. At our facility, youth receive mentorship and join in on activities that support the development of positive life and career skills.

The A17H Training Academy is designed to benefit local businesses by training youth with the skills and education needed to be an active contributor to the community and economy at large.

OUR METRICS

A17H has been in the business of supporting our local youth and families for 7 years now. Over these years, we have had over 75,000 youth come through our doors and interacted with over 5,000 families in the Greater NH, MA, and ME communities.

Our current reach is middle and high school aged youth, young adults, and their families. At any one time, our center has over 100 young adults of working age looking to pursue career opportunities.

Over the last 7 years, we have had more than 70 local companies donate in excess of $200,000.00 This strong show of support both for our mission and the community these businesses serve show we are driving value into our community.  These have  been transactional investments in A17H. The goal of our Training Academy is to make this relationship recurring and long-term.

"As a community resource center, we have observed a significant rise in the number of youth and young adults facing challenges in acquiring essential skills needed to advance in life and secure future careers".

OUR APPROACH

  • Creation of a formal training program that can be used as an augmentation of a business’ on-boarding education program focusing on basic employment & life skills.

  • Exposure to career path experiences in the trades, arts, and basic life skills, focused on helping students identify their areas of interests and sense of purpose.

  • Connecting students with local businesses that match both the student’s interests and businesses needs.
